Step-by-step guide

  • Favorite product feature with a customizable product position. 

    The Favorite Products feature in the Vendtill POS App is available only in portrait mode.

    If you're using landscape mode, you can access a similar function using the advanced Customize Sale Screen feature, which is available only in landscape mode. 

    The Favorite Product feature in the Vendtill POS App allows users to mark frequently sold products as favorites for quick and easy access. These products will appear in the "Favorite" category in the main billing interface, reducing the time spent searching for items and optimizing the checkout process. 

    Why is this Feature Important?

    • Enhances the speed of transactions, particularly useful in busy business environments such as retail and restaurants.
    • Helps organize frequently sold products in one place for easy access.
    • Reduces errors by minimizing the need to search through multiple categories. 

    Practical Example

    In a busy restaurant where multiple categories exist (e.g., Appetizers, Main Courses, Beverages, Desserts), the cashier can create a "Favorite" category to include the most popular dishes. This allows for quick selection and reduces wait times for customers, ensuring a smooth operation during peak hours. 

The Favorite Products feature in the Vendtill POS App is available only in portrait mode.

How to Add a Product to the Favorite Category 
  1. Open the Vendtill POS App.
  2. Navigate to the Main Menu and select New Sale.
  3. Locate the product you want to add to the Favorite category in the category column.
  4. Click on the Product Information button (represented by an "i" icon next to the price).
  5. A heart icon will be displayed.
  6. Click the heart icon to mark the product as a favorite.
  7. Once selected, the heart icon will turn red, indicating that the product is now in the Favorite category.
  8. The marked product will now appear under the Favorite category for quick access.
How to Remove a Product from the Favorite Category 
  1. Open the Vendtill POS App.
  2. Go to the New Sale screen.
  3. Navigate to the Favorite category in the category section.
  4. Click on the Product Information button.
  5. Click the red heart icon to unmark the product as a favorite.
  6. The product will be removed from the Favorite category.
How to Re-Arrange Products in the Favourite Category 
  1. Open the Vendtill POS App.
  2. Navigate to the Main Menu and select New Sale.
  3. In the Category section, locate and click the Favorite category.
  4. Click the Edit Product Position button at the bottom.
  5. A list of favorite products will be displayed, each with a burger icon (≡) on the right side.
  6. Long-press the product to move and reposition it or long-press drag the burger icon to move the product up or down to your preferred position
  7. Click Done to save the changes. 

Special Notes

In the "Simple Grid" layout, the information (i) icon is not visible. To use the Favorite Category feature, temporarily switch to "Grid" or "List" layout, mark favorite products, and switch back to "Simple Grid" if desired.
